Required Experience, Training, Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in airport administration, business or public administration or a related field and seven years of progressively responsible experience in airport management, airport operations or aviation and airline operations, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Knowledge of:
- the principles and practices of airport administration
- airport emergency response and safety programs
- computer usage including related software
- federal regulations pertaining to airport operations and management
- operational requirements of airlines
- and effective supervision and performance management.
- Ability to:
- analyze and report upon operating conditions and problems
- evaluate and interpret various federal, state and local regulations
- manage and supervise the performance of staff
- communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- communicate effectively in the English language at a level necessary for efficient job performance
- and perform all essential functions as assigned by an authorized employee, supervisor and/or manager with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Individuals must be capable of operating vehicles safely and have an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Experience, Training, Knowledge, Skills and Certifications
- Masters degree in business administration or a related field.
- Fifteen years of related experience.
- Professional accreditation through the American Association of Airport Executives and private pilot's license.
Required Certificates and Licensures
- Valid state-issued driver's license.
- Obtain national security clearance as a condition of employment.
